This section of Looking Glass Creek slides down the valley on a series of rock slabs.  The most famous is
Sliding Rock, where those with the nerve can brave the frigid water for a five-second slide into a deep pool, under
the watchful eye of Forest Service lifeguards.  It used to be a sort of wild place, bit now it's regulated and
controlled, and I'm sure much safer.  It remains tremendously popular in the warm months.
About a mile downstream is this water-carved hole in the rock that produces a tail of whitewater downstream
that reminds me of a comet.  I had to come back a couple of times before making this image that matches my
vision pretty well.
